About the artist

Anika Mohiuddin is a Sydney painter and a caffeinated mum of four. She paints by hand in textured acrylic, and the side effects of her paint are accidental poetry and prose.

Her work moves between the night sky, the Australian bush, flowers from home and the valley of Makkah, and between the places of her heritage: Bangladesh, Australia and New Zealand. Every painting carries a story or a poem.

She is now writing and painting The Seerah Chronicles, a rhyming Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ for families.
